There was a similar service in WoW...and even Curse had their own similar thing. It was alright; however, sometimes you would get addons that were broken and were a pain to get to work because the service would keep overwriting them and such.
For things like addons which may change with an game update or the actual addon update, I prefer to do it manually. When you load a huge number of addons, I'll typically only update one or two, log into the game, and make sure everything is working before loading the next couple. With updaters like this it's an all or none thing and troubleshooting it becomes a pain if there is a problem...

I installed it also, it detected half the addons I had and allowed me to install the two it missed... I am not sure why... I guess I should let them know, it is a Beta version...

Hushy and I both installed the minion thing, she has auto-update checked, I did not...
everything worked fine for me, I was not able to get past the "Update Applications" on Hushy's box until I disabled the auto-update on Minion, after that, smooth sailing.

What OS are you running Jawl? I tried to install it and I get a missing dll error?

I got it to load fine on my Win 7 system but when I tried it on my 8.1 gamming rig I get cant load jvm.dll then cant launch jvm...
I have since seen a few posts on there forums about a missing C++ component but what they are referring to doe not list on the windows site as compatible with 8.1. Dam this new 8.1 only had it a week lol and still not used to it!

I expected it to be the C++ redistributables... I did a quick search and found the following page:
jvm.dll not found or missing error
but if that's a new system, I am not sure I would follow that page... instead I would talk to whomever built it in hopes they would fix it for you or direct you on what you need to do.

Looks like ESOUI took over ownership of the project...so I may have to grab it now, LOL. I'm sure the support will be better as well...

Thanks Jawl I submitted a Post on there forums so hopefully before launch they can have a solution for me. Until then guess I'm just installing add ons the old fashion way lol

it's still hosted on MMOUI, mine seems to be working, Hushy's is not... I tried reinstalling it and no luck... no errors, but no luck...

well with the help of the staff on eosui I got minion working lol
in a very timely manner.
turns out if your running 8.1 u need an old version of c++ 2010 sp1 if anyone else has problem.
