TEW Scavenger Hunt - RESCHEDULED 06/21 7-11pm

So for some, the long awaited TEW Scavenger Hunt has finally arrived!

 

WHO: 

All members are invited and encouraged to participate--the more people playing, the better the rewards! 

There will be a 500 gold entrance fee (proceeds of which will be divided amongst the top 3 winners - 60% for FIRST place, 25% for SECOND Place, and 15% for THIRD place).  Winners will be decided by the first to complete their assigned tasks.

 

WHAT: 

SCAVENGER HUNT! (was that not already obvious?)

 

WHERE: 

We have selected items that ALL players of ALL levels have access to...so all items should be obtainable in Khenarthi's Roost, Auridon, and Grahtwood.

 

WHEN: 

Saturday, June 14 from 7pm-11pm (or until the top three people complete their assigned tasks)

Unfortunately due to unexpected issues with my computer as well as possibly not being home, I'm going to have to reschedule this to Saturday, June 21, 7-11pm EST.  Hopefully that will also give some time for a few others who could not make it today to attend...

WHY: 

For fun!  For glory!  For the Horde...er, I mean, Aldmeri Dominion!  But really, who couldn't use some cash?  Winners will also receive a unique forum title to proudly display in all their posts!

HOW:  

Although the game will be designed for solo players, if you want to team up with another person (i.e., spouses, family members, etc.) you may do so; however, rewards will be handed out based upon a TEAM, whether that team be one person or five people, so regardless of whether a team is one person or five people, the prize is still the same %...it is just teams will have to split the proceeds amongst themselves. 

If playing as a team, EACH MEMBER must pay the entrance fee.

At the commencement of the game, each person will hand their entrance fees to a participating officer (or myself is no other officers can commit to that time slot).  At that point, you will be given your first item to procure and the officer will write down the time stamp of the beginning of your adventure.  Winners will be determine on how fast they obtain their full listing of items.

When you gather your first item, you will hand it in to an officer and your next item to procure will be given to you.  ITEMS MAY BE UNIQUE BETWEEN TEAMS, so although one team may be requested to gather 2 of item x, another team may be requested to gather 3 of item y and never be requested to gather item x.  This is to prevent teams from knowing beforehand what they are requested to gather. 

At the end of the evening we'll figure out who completed the most tasks the quickest (based upon their beginning time and end time).  THE HUNT WILL NOT TAKE 4 HOURS....I am allotting that time for people who may be unable to start early and can only start later.  I would recommend the latest you begin be around 9:30 pm EST...as the hunt will at least take over an hour to complete.  Again, the goal is to complete your tasks the quickest...whether you begin at 8pm or 9pm, or even 10pm...so everybody has a bit of a fighting chance.

I do ask that nobody share what items they are asked to gather so other teams or people who have not started are unaware of some of what is needed.  Again, items requested will be RANDOM, so your team may never even be asked to get something another team has received in order to prevent knowing what to gather beforehand.

I'll be there in spirit. I'd love to do this some time, but that's the date of Ero's derby bout this month, so we'll be out of town. I'll throw 500 on the purse though, good luck to those who participate!

It'll be me or one of the officers at the beginning of the event...basically once you trade us the gold we'll give you the first clue and write down the time so we know when you're starting...

I'll do my best to be there.  It's still pretty early in the evening for me, tho.  I can see it now:

Kids:  "Dad, what's for supper?"

Me:  "Whatever you can find.  I need to find a Skeever's Tail!!!"

LOL, well, you can come anytime up until about 10pm EST...there still should be time for you to get everything before I decide to call it a night at 11, hehehe...

But I'm still a bit concerned there may not be that big of a pot for the winners, as it looks like there will only be 4-6 people participating from the replies so far...

LOL, I am probably going to park next to the Vulkel Guard wayshrine so people can travel to me directly (although I've thought about making finding me part of the hunt, hehehe)...but right now I may have to reschedule to next week as something has come up that I may be unavailable  :/
